  1. That's fine, it's nothing personal, you're a cool guy. I understand if you have other things going on, but you should have let us know :P
  2. No one is better than you
  3. Over the course of Pure Warfare's existance, our members have really given it their all, and so far it's been a great success with 650 members and 23,000 posts. That's quite an achievement if I may say so. I'd just like to thank everyone for being active and making PW what it is, however, we still need to spread our awareness. So please, tell your clan members and help us to grow even further. Anyway, that's enough of blabbing on, I'd just like to say that these members have stood out greatly and the truly deserve their ranks. No one on PW can brown nose for their ranks, I won't allow that. I simply choose people who I think will do good for the community and have helped out greatly. Without further ado, I'd like to congratulate the following members: CeeJay - You've been really active and you've posted some really good responses to the threads out there. Nothing but a benefit to this community, so well done, you've been given a trial for a moderator position. Tyler - Well done Tyler, you've been an asset to the community. You've stood out among the rest of the people here and thus, you're a Senior Member, congratulations. Ryan - You've been an active member, helped out and made useful posts, definitely a perfect candidate for a Senior Member. If you haven't been chosen, don't despair, there will be more promotions in times to come! However, I regret to announce that Iced Havoc, is being demoted. Iced was on a trial moderation position, and over the course of his trial, the administrators have made a collective decision that at this time, he is not fit for the position. This is nothing personal, just a decision made between the administrators. We need active moderators, people who will moderate the site as often as they can. Once you're more active, your position may be re-instated. Frewin, however, remains a moderator - keep in mind that he is on trial as well. A big well done to everyone who has been promoted, keep it up guys.

  9. 18th August 2009 - Menagerie, Familiar Controls and Butlers First off, all combat familiars will now follow you into a fight much more promptly. We’ve also updated the Summoning status globe (the button near the minimap) so that you can configure what happens when you left-click on it. One of the many options will allow you to send your familiar into action against an NPC (or another player on a PvP World) with just one quick click. If you want a place to keep your pets, you can now do this with a new room for Construction - the menagerie. It’s a pet-owned house to complement your player-owned one, if you will, in which you can store a number of fully grown pets of any kind. You could create a haven for all three god birds, for instance, or build your very own little dragons’ den. While we’re on the subject of houses, your butler has learned when it’s time to talk and when it’s time to get on with it. So, when you are training and need the same materials you just used, you won’t need to explain what you’re after. If they come back from the bank with logs, you can send them straight to the sawmill. And if the butler’s payment is due and you don’t have any money on you, they can fetch it from your bank the next time you send them there. They also follow you around unless told otherwise. Other features include a ‘Make-x’ option for flatpack furniture and teleport tablets, and some options for the Teleport to House spell. You can set the spell to deposit you outside your house’s portal or into your house (with building mode switched on or off). More details for these updates can be found on the Knowledge Base. In other news... All longswords, as well as the rune and dragon scimitars, have received a slight graphical adjustment, as well as having their inventory icons modified to match. In a similiar fashion to Soul Wars and the Fishing Trawler minigames, we've added an activity bar to the Great Orb Project. As expected, your activity is maintained when contributing, but if the bar drops too low you'll be removed from the game.
  10. 18th August 2009 - Mobilising Armies Polish Since the release of Mobilising Armies, we’ve been in-game and scanning the forums to see what has worked well and what hasn’t. As can be expected from a project of this complexity, some things didn’t quite pan out how we intended. So, we’ve made a few amendments that we hope will create a better gaming experience: The Conflict scenario has changed from 4-player to 2-player The idea of the Conflict scenario was for players to consider a variety of tactics and to really engage in an all-out battle to the death. There turned out to be one unwanted and dominant tactic, however: wait for the other teams to beat each other up, then join in later when you have the advantage. Although you could argue this was a legitimate tactic, we didn’t feel that doing nothing for a few minutes was any fun. We considered a great many options to fix this, but decided to change this scenario (and only this scenario) to make it 1 versus 1. Squad levels removed Mobilising Armies was built with five levels of squad that you could purchase as your Rank increased, which allowed larger amounts of reward credits. The issue with this was that it led to far too many waiting rooms (4 scenarios x 5 ranks = 20 rooms) and, with each room requiring 20 players, we needed 20 x 20 players for a game to start in each room. Even if games started more quickly, there would not be enough players available, so to simplify the waiting rooms, we have changed it so only one level of squad is available. If you previously had higher-level squads in your inventory or bank, you will find them gone and your credits reimbursed as investment credits. This will hopefully make it easier for people to experience all four scenarios. Waiting room system improved and five simultaneous games Twenty players are required for a game of Mobilising Armies to start, and, when a player doesn't get picked, they get an increased priority for the next game. Originally, only four out of those twenty players were picked to join a game at a time, but we improved this a little while back so that three games started at any one time. This was only a temporary fix, so five games will now start simultaneously, as soon as there are enough players. Selling reward items back When buying rewards, many players felt the best idea was to save up their reward points until they had increased their Rank and unlocked the best rewards, neglecting the earlier rewards. We want you to make use of the lower-level rewards, so you can now sell reward items back to the reward shops in the officers' tower for 100% of their initial cost. This should encourage you to buy the rewards as and when you can afford them, since you can upgrade them at no extra cost. The only exceptions to this are the resource locators and quest kits (which remain a partial trade-in), and spoils of war.
  11. "-SOTW 5-" Theme: Freestyle Vector Hope some good entries come through this theme, good luck! PM your entries to either Jay or myself. All entries must be in before: Friday 21st August 2009 Good luck to all those who choose to enter!
  12. We are now on a new server, enjoy.
  13. There will be downtime in around 7-8 hours, this will last approximately 30 minutes whilst we transfer over to a new server. After this we shouldn't experience any other problems as the new server will be more stable.
  14. Wow, that's so **** =\
  15. No one in Epidemic calls the shots, I call the shots and I am clanless. Enough said.
  16. Clear Cache and Cookies.
  17. Amazing job FF! You own. FIRST POST@@@@@@@@
  18. myBB isn't safe. On topic, if you want secure forums, set a good password (www.goodpassword.com), don't accept .exe files from people, don't allow HTML on the forums, and it's unlikely you'll get "hacked".

    Slogan

It did win, and that's the one we're using atm. Just haven't had the other banners re-made yet, as I don't have the PSD's. That slogan is on the Deflection skin, however.
  21. PHP stands for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, it's a server side scripting language which supports many databases, the main one being MySQL. PHP is widely used as it can be used on many operating systems. PHP can start in various ways. For example: <?php?> Or: <script language="php"></script> However, I always used the first and it's recommended. Basic Syntax In order to make PHP display something, the easiest thing is the Hello World tutorial. To do this, it's quite simple. You open PHP with <?php, simple enough? Then you Echo something for the script to display echo "Hello World"; Next, closed PHP. ?> Put it all together. <?phpecho "Hello World";?> Save it as index.php, well done you've used your first syntax. In order to use PHP in dynamic web pages, you'll need to know a few basic things. You will need to include HTML for the correct formatting. To include HTML, there are two main ways. For example: <?phpecho "<b>Hello World</d>";?> That will simple make the Hello World bold. This next way is my favourite way, it's easier and you can include more: <?php echo <<<HTML<b>Hello World</b>HTML;?> The next thing you need to know is how to include files. It's easier to include the HTML in to the files, from a main file. For example, index.php could have an include from main.php, main.php will have the HTML inside of it, so that if a link changes, you only need to change the main.php rather than each file separately. To include a file you can either use this: include 'main.php'; Or: require 'main.php'; Both codes do the exact same thing, however, with an include the script will continue to run if the file is not found. With a require, the script will generate a fatal error and will fail to continue. To be continued.
  22. I've now changed it to only have one ladder, in response to feedback from the clan leaders. There's one ladder for F2P, one for P2P, you do not have to re-register as I've changed everything for you. If a high clan declares on a low clan, they will not be penalized for declining the war.
