  1. Wow. that's like 4 years :o
  2. I still prefer IPB 2.3.6 to 3.0 so we won't be upgrading unless I see huge changes in 3.0.
  3. That's fine, I'm just trying to cater styles for everyone.
  4. 30th July 2009 - RuneScape Q&A The previous RuneScape Q&A proved to be both popular and successful, so we thought it was about time for another one. We will be opening up a "Questions for Jagex" thread in the News & Announcements forum tomorrow for anyone who wants to post questions to us. This thread shall remain open until the morning of Monday 3rd August, after which we will compile questions and pass them on to the people at Jagex best suited to answer them. Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard (Mod MMG) will be providing the first batch of answers, which will be posted on the forums next Thursday (6th August). In addition to posting his answers, we will also be hosting a live Q&A session on the forums with him on the same day, starting at 8pm (GMT), and running for a couple of hours or so. Each Thursday from then on, we will post another batch of answers and host another live Q&A session for those questions relevant to the other teams here at Jagex. Those directly relevant to RuneScape are as follows: * Thursday 6th August – Mark Gerhard * Thursday 20th August – Player Support * Thursday 3rd September – Andrew * Thursday 10th September – RuneScape Content * Thursday 17th September – Community Management * Thursday 24th September – Translation For more information about these Q&A sessions, and for where, when and how to submit questions, please read this forum thread. We are also holding Q&A sessions for our other products. Details of these can also be found on this forum thread.
  5. 28th July 2009 - Poison Arrow Pub and Aquanite From time to time, we like to open up a forum thread to give you, the players, the chance to come up with specific ideas to add to the game. We then put our favourite ideas into a poll and let the community vote for their favourite. This time, it was to name and fill the vacant pub in Ardougne, and to name a new Slayer creature. This isn’t because we run out of ideas – far from it! - it’s so you get a chance to genuinely contribute to the content in the game. Of course, we read as many suggestions as we can every day, but running forum threads, discussing your suggestions and knowing that there would be a definite result at the end of the work is a great way to add content to the game. So, this month, we’re delighted to add the Poison Arrow pub to Ardougne and the aquanite Slayer creature. The pub is just south of Ardougne’s east bank and is filled with a host of suggestions that all came from you! The aquanite is a level 78 Slayer creature that deals magic damage, so do take care if you’re going to visit. You’ll find them at the end of the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon, past the kurasks – you can’t miss them. In other news... You will now be properly classed as being 'in combat' when you are attacking someone else, even if you've not been attacked back. Also, if you teleport while in combat, you will now lose 20% of your Earning Potential (EP). Korvak in the Runecrafting Guild has had his chat improved to make it easier to ask for help with any essence pouches you may have on you. We've updated the spell icons in the Ancient and Lunar spellbooks in line with those of the standard spellbook.
  6. 28th July 2009 - Animation Pack 1 Recent additions to the RuneScape engine have allowed us to make some improvements to the game’s animations. As you can see by the heading, this release is called Animation Pack 1, as this will be an ongoing project. These improvements will take time, however, so we have grouped the animations that we're improving into packs, so we can release them as we complete them, rather than keeping you waiting. This pack focuses on some of the most popular melee weapons and their animations (abyssal whip, the godswords, Zamorakian spear, Saradomin sword, Dharok’s axe, and dragon and rune longswords and scimitars), tweening (animation smoothing), and updates to the Agility animations. We hope you enjoy these updates as much as we've enjoyed creating them; make sure to keep an eye out for future animation updates. For a more in-depth look at these improvements, check out this recent dev blog. It takes you through the process in more detail.
  7. I've just added a new skin called Deflection, I've tweaked it a lot to make it look better. Hope you like it, give me any ideas you may have :) I personally love this skin.
  8. I'm working on another skin as we speak, I'll probably release it later on today.
  9. After numerous comments on the font colour in the descriptions, I've decided to change it, it's much easier to read now. If you still don't like the colour, please suggest one :) I've also added a new skin called Wowfusion. Hope you enjoy it.
  10. Yes, it will most likely be a flash object.

    The new sefket

He's called Jason, he's not the real Sefket, believe me, I wouldn't have Sefket on these forums.
  12. Well, we'd obviously rotate the styles of music and have a wide variety to cater for the people who like different genres.
  13. That's because we're better.
  14. I will when Hatton quits being lazy and makes one :) Also, you mean PW ladder.
  15. Well, actually, we need to save on resources. The more I try to save resources, the quicker the pages will load, therefore the site will be much more effective.
  16. Well, the news on the homepage: http://www.pure-warfare.com/pw/ This was run by a script called cutenews, just because it was effective at the time. However, I hated it and found it annoying to use in conjunction with our custom coded Admin section. I have, therefore, recoded the news, it looks exactly the same, however, we can access it and change it much easier and it also leaves more things open in the future, should we wish to change it slightly. The news also looks a lot better on Internet Explorer, and shouldn't break away from the rest of the page now :) On another note, it will also load quicker, hooray! I've also added a gradient bar to each of the guide tables, this is just to make it look a bit fancier. Hope you enjoy the changes :)
  17. Sucks to see it but there's nothing you can do :S
  18. Both are good ideas, however, I'd also be looking in to hosting a PW TeamSpeak/Ventrilo server, it depends which program our members have.

    The banner

Mm, it looks fine to me. I'll look in to it, however. What browser are you using, including the version number?

    The banner

I'll get Coz to look at this, he's the one who made them.
