Hi, I'm Raijin. I like to mage metal dragons for magic experience. When I mage dragons, I like to get the most possible experience per hit. This is my guide that shows how I get the most possible experience per hit:
Items needed: A fire or air staff is best, so as to not waste as much money on elemental runes. Any mage armor that gives good offensive bonuses, such as ghostly. A ring of life in case things don't go our way. Blood runes, elemental spells that are not covered by our staff, nature runes, law runes for Camelot teleports, coins to pay for a boat and to enter the dungeon, any type of hatchet to cut through vines, two antifire potions, and around 4 sharks or other types of food.
Our journey begins in Camelot.
From Camelot, we mosey on to the docks of Catherby and charter a boat to the mysterious island-city of Brimhaven with the gear required for killing dragons.
After we arrive in on the mysterious island-city of Brimhaven's dock, we will proceed to the Brimhaven dungeon, where we will be required to pay a small fee of 875 gold pieces.
Once we enter the dungeon of Brimhaven, we will walk down towards some vines that we must chop down. After chopping said vines, we will need to take the second northern path, past some moss giants, and through stepping stones. Next, we run to another set of two vines, after which will finally bring us to our destination: The Metal Dragons.
Once here, we drink a dose of antifire option and commence battle with a dragon of our choosing. After we see the attack animation of the spell begin, we will cast high level alchemy on whatever item we bring to alch(in this case maple longbows).
This will allow us to cast a fire wave and a high alchemy spell in the time it would take to cast a fire wave spell. Doing so gives a base experience of 107.5xp per spell.
