NME probably

After all the discussion we've been having recently Omni, I'm glad you finally did this haha. In the last month or so I've discussed the subject of a "revival" era of PURE clans in depth on irc with some of the greatest minds this community has ever seen ; people who know precisely what they're talking about and people who have the credentials to prove that. The general consensus is that in order for another "golden age" of pure clans to occur, it has to start from the first step on the ladder and that step is the low level clan scene. NME has proven that should you guys want to make a clan that doesn't want to remain low level forever and move on to becoming a justified clan in its own right, its very possible, even with the defence caps, and thats exactly right. The community is in the hands of the new clans imo, to either bring it back from the edge of death or stumble and fall and leave the community to chug away at its current pace If these low level clans are actually led well, with the proper decisions and work out well, I see the gap between the 1-10 def clans and the turmoil clans growing ever larger, which will change the community in ways it hasn't been changed before. Goodluck to all new clans, it will be an exciting couple of weeks

Its mainly me who says how well Epidemic and NME did, and I only do it on threads based around LPC's because each of the two clans are the apex of low level clans and the prime examples of how a LPC should work. I don't do it in a way that I am "compelled to prove" how good we were, I am using the best examples possible and the examples I am the most familiar with. In terms of success, legacy, and impact, the two clans perfectly illustrate what I say in my posts. In the past, low level clans were built in the image of the low level scene of 2007, led by Epidemic and run along with clans such as TD, TGG, and by the looks of it, this modern influx of low level clans have been inspired by the success of NME, arguably the most successful low level clan of the last 4 years. Don't be upset when Hostility closes within a month that you havn't achieved anything other than being the punching bag of NME and CP, jealousy is a strong emotion and to me when you lash out at a group of people without cause or reason, it just looks like your frustrated with the way your clan has ended up ; that despite having 90% mith/addy, you know your clan is destined to end up forgettable, unimportant, and dead. Don't quote me and attempt to regain a little dignity in the eyes of the community, it'd be a wasted effort, just like all the hard work (??) you've put in with Hostility.

They do, I'm an advocate of them and have led the two most successful LPC's in history [/ego] If you look at some of the top clans right now who have been open for a year+ ; MM, FOE, Fi, CP, EOP, they all came from a common spring once upon a time... Low level clans. It isn't a coincidence. Even the two clans I've personally lead, Epidemic and NME, both sprouted from low level clans and have both been successful. Looking back further into history, AAO, The Hatred 1, TGG, all them sort of clans came from low level clans. One of the problems with the LPC's coming out recently is the multiclanning rule. We had it in NME, and it wont work if a clan is intending on growing and making an impact on pure clan history. Should be perfectly fine if the intention really is to PK every few days and have fun. Yep, I agree with everything you've said and I genuinely wish both you and the other low clans good luck, especially with a decent set up (1-10 defence, emphasis on fun). I actually see you guys doing pretty well from what I've seen from Nik, hope you continue working at it. Sorry for the thread hijacking, but me and Omni were discussing the other day the concept of a sort of "revival era" of pure clans, new clans are created with amended requirements (1-10 def as opposed to the addy that has recently become a huge deal), and with a few DECENT low level clans, a scene develops its self from these clans. This scene becomes more and more competitive, clans get better, other clans see the success and are added to the scene, and eventually (theoretically of course) these clans move to med level or whatever and the classic definition of a "Pure" community develops from this. We symbolized it as a sort of rebirth for pure clans, turmoil clans becoming more and more separate and independent of the 1-5/1-10 def clans and the two communitys almost splitting down the middle. Now, the likelihood of this happening is very, VERY thin but its something to think about. Why the hell not? Not to blow our own trumpet, but NME has proved that a pure clan can be successful these days regardless of the low defence. That being said, the entire discussion was just two old time idiots being nostalgic.. But whats to say something similar doesn't begin with YOUR clan? Dream big.. :)

NME with your One defence account, you know what we're about and we're on a big rise at the moment, it'd be a great time to join. I realise you were in NME before, but that was when we were fairly inactive in terms of a general direction for the clan. We've been pulling 35+ to f2p Unofficials all week, around 60 to our F2P trip, and 45 to our P2P trip which shows our increase. I think NME will personally benefit you because I know your a competitive guy and NME is one of the most competitive clans out there. Any other questions feel free to PM me on IRC. Relapse, led by Mitch and Soniqs (ex leader of DF several times and several other clans and ex leader of Bellum and some other clans, respectively) 2.) Cassidy is apparently opening a new clan, who has opened/been part of several clans staff teams before in the LPC area 3.) Dylan and some other guy from Enormity, ex leaders of Apathy, Integrity, and some others. 4.) Brave Theory, guess you guys are the exception to the rule My research is spot on, believe me I want these clans to succeed its just boring because I know for a fact they won't because of certain leadership decisions Why do they have to impact anything outside of the game play of the player in the clan. As long as those participating are enjoying themselves and the LPC is having a positive impact on their game play then that is all that matters. You're welcome Pure Warfare. Thats always the initial plan with any clan, "Hey lets open and have loads of fun, we'll get loads of loot and not be involved in any drama". Unfortunately, this never continues and eventually the leadership turns this fun clan into a serious clan, and if not, the clan will close. Clans have tried to remain low level and fun forever, a key example in recent times is Resurgence. With that mentality, when other LPC's come around that are stronger, it isn't so much fun anymore. Just my two cents so to speak
