RSC Tournament

I've been approached by the Mods of RSC to gauge the interest of mid-lvl clans and pure clans in competing in a J-Cup style tournament that is run by RSC rather than Jagex.

 

As a lot of older pure members are aware when it comes to RSC and Jagex, and the tournaments they devise, the opinions of low-lvl clans are often over overlooked in favour of the top main clans.

 

I'd encourage all of you to get your clan leaders to read this and come up with some suggestions you'd like to see in any upcoming RSC tournaments.

 

So here are my questions (feedback will be given to the organisers):

 

- Would your clan/team compete in a tournament ran by RSC?- Which categories whould you like to see introduced? Examples would be categories such as:~ under 115cmb F2P~ under 100cmb F2P~ under 80cmb F2P~ fights with caps on def lvls/gear restrictions~ 20v20 fights (small even opt fights)~ full outs, ~ PvP or clanwars etc.- Do you have any questions about a tournament that is run by RSC?

 

It's a positive sign that RSC is taking mid and low-lvl clans more seriously (yes even you really small or new ones), so I suggest you take this topic seriously and consider the benefits for your clan in competing in such a tournament.

I'm positive Corrupt Pures would take part of the tournament. However, it all depends on the rules for mid-level and low-level clans.

 

- Which categories would you like to see introduced?

I'd like to see a category for under 105cmb F2P. I'm not sure if this goes under low-level or mid-level, but it would without a doubt make more pure clans interested in taking part of the tournament.

Look at some of the old PCT's, you can pretty much just replicate those.

P2p and F2p fullouts are the main ones.

10v10s, 30v30s, fullouts, all 1 def, both f2p & p2p of course

 

standard rules should be no summoning and no new prayers, all in clan-wars

 

 

would like pvp aswell but doubt it could happen fair and uncrashed.

Doubt RSC will be doing anything related to 1 defence. I have read several threads on RSC about pure clans/pures in general and the majority don't give 2 cents about pures. However having some sort of combat cap could attract pure clans to fight in the tournament.

Pure p2p/f2p fullout cup (i do not agree with it as pure but seen as though a large number of clans accept it) ~ no accounts with higher than 30 defence.

 

Same for 40 v 40 and 15 v 15 or 10 v 10.

 

Clanwars as pvp would be a mess, so public on rsc and tbh so many would crash pures... Free 76ks.

I dont think there should be any rules other than no miasmic simply because you cannot negate the effect anymore and it ruins fights. As for all other rules plain and simple all clans accept 20 def armour, summon, dung, people with big banks who can afford corrupts and good stuff etc.

would it be well moderated and maintained and kept up to date? has anything ever been done by them before which will fill me with confidence?

How are we going to make this tournament so no clans argue about it. Pure clans have a lot more disparity in levels now a days. A pure clan might be situated around 70-80 combat, however it might have members that hit the 100+ combat zone. How is that going to work?

Virtually all these clans (except maybe FOE) would not compete as they don't participate in any sort of war that they might lose.

Your exactly right, but that is the attitude the mods are trying to change with this tournament. Many of them are ex-pures themselves, and like to see more pure clans posting their night out topics on RSC, as well as getting involved in clan discussion.

 

They have acknowledged that pure clans have been let down in the past when in comes to tournaments for the clan world.

 

Don't forget RSC has some strong sway with Mod Timbo and Jagex for the next J-Cup, so if you'd like to see changes in the J-Cup format that gives the small 80-100f2p cmb pure clans a chance to win something and not just the big clans like MM and FoE, then they need you to want to be involved in upcoming RSC tournaments with postivie feedback I can pass on.

They are generally better organised that J-Cups (run by Jagex), because they are run by actually clan (ex)members themselves.

It is rather surprising though, those are all categories we either had (or very similar) to what we had last year, i guess we just didnt advertise it well enough. Obviously some of your pure clans are P2P based and some are F2P based. I'm just trying to gauge what is more popular amoungst pures because I know RP/tanks are more P2P based.

when you do say 105/115~ do you mean 105/115-
