I've been saving up for a little while to get a better computer, currently I'm using a laptop and attend my clans events in min detail on safe mode and still experience lag :(, so I would like to upgrade. I'm not a pro in knowing what I should get for my money.

 

I'm looking for a computer I can play scape with decent detail on, and also be able to vid clan trips comfortably (atm my laptop has a fit when trying to do so)

 

I have a budget of about £600 which currently equals $952.86 Although I would be able to go slightly higher if needed, I wanted to know if anyone could recommend what to buy? maybe you have a computer with a similar price range that you find great? any help would be appreciated.

Get a dual core at least, or an i7 if you can afford one, with 4GB RAM and a minimum of a 512MB graphics card and you're good to go. Get a 22" monitor too if you want to be pro.

Don't really know much about Computers, but Low detail safe mode is where its at :P

 

I refuse to play rs on high detail.

A common misunderstanding: lag is not generated by your computer (normally), it's a result of your internet connection. Granted, your computer may easily exhaust its CPU, causing the browser itself to lag, but most likely it's your internet connection.

 

 

But a new computer is never a bad thing :)

Well I pay for 20 meg, so i don't see how my connection could be that bad.

^ i7 dual processor with decent HD graphics card will let you vid your trips in high detail :))

 

you can get i5 cheapo which works fine.
