Hey, my laptop keeps overheating or something. It's turned off like 5 times randomly in the past hour. How can I make my fan actually do something?

1. Download Hyperfan.

2. Open your task bar write down all the processes you have running - turn them all off.

3. Run the fan program for 24 hours and copy down the temperatures

4. Re-start all your processes

5. Post a log on Hi-Jack this and http://www.hackforums.net/

6. It helped me with the fan in my laptop.

You might need a new fan, the noisier the fan is then the harder its working to keep you laptop cool overtime laptops get hotter quicker and you might need to upgrade you're fan.

When you have your laptop on put it on a wooden surface or something so it heats up slower.

I have the same problem, but i void my warrently if the comp gets taken apart.... i could fix it.

 

You probably have a Dell like me their fans suck... But you can buy like some gel **** with fans in it off ebay for like $20 to sit under ur lappy

but personally i bought one of these laptop cooler fans for my laptop cuz it gets hot when i play with it, was like 30 dollars
