Where do you stand on phishing? It's going to become a real problem in 2011 especially in the pure community unless we do something about it. Clan leaders are being real hypocrites and I feel like I'm the only one who would kick a member from their clan for phishing. I'm not going to name any names because the reason I have made this topic is for discussion, not to bad mouth another clan.

 

There should be a blacklist or something on Pure Warfare of phishers and every clan makes a mutual agreement to decline anybody who has ever been associated with phishing. To get onto this blacklist, you would need solid proof from a clan leader.

 

We could also like have the Pure Warfare bot in every pure clan channel and a list of hostnames that are on the blacklist (proven phishers) and they will automatically be added to ban and akick when the bot joins. Would be pretty cool if that happened, so all known phishers are banned from every pure clan IRC.

Getting phished is almost the same argument as getting Scammed in Runescape. If you click in the link AND type in the info from someone not trusted or you don't know your going to get scammed for your account. In retrospect it's the same as arguing about getting scammed for GP in runescape. The protection is don't click stuff from strangers or untrusted people. Done.

 

In essence it's the same thing as what us pkers argued to get back the wilderness and free trade, it prevented scamming but we all wern't "stupid enough" to get scammed. The same should apply for phishing with a little common sense.
