Lets say you see a pure that meets your clans requirements in game, do you feel it is "mass recruiting" asking them to join your clan, or do you see it as a opportunity to take advantage of?

 

Personally, it doesn't matter to me. In my opinion making an attempt to recruit people outside of the "pure clan world" already is showing a lot of effort.

Because Stupid clans think that recruiting kids in game is dumb. They act like they are blacks from the 18th Century ( No flame intended )

 

If you think about it, most of our enemy clans used to be them ;O

I think standing in a spot going "VISIT WWW.MYCLANWHATEVER.COM FOR PURE KLEN" is stupid.

 

 

If you happen to have a 1v1 at edge with a good pure or something, and you're like "oh dude you should check out my clan," that's not a problem.

 

 

Just my opinion.

Yea thats kind of what i'm getting at. I saw a clanless dude with CP's reqs, asked them to join, then I get bombarded in PM with "MASS RECRUITERS?!??!!?" It's lame lol

IMO the way MG used to do it (go to party drops that were over 15m and spam their website) is massing.

and not to start a flame war but u used to mass like that too chain a little bit.

 

But if you fight / train with someone and you think they have the ability to join the pure clan world and make a good member to your clan then its noothing wrong. but dont just keep recruiting kids you see at rockcrabs that have no EXP cuz that is like massing.

Also no we should not get new people into the clan community, we shall let them just single or w/e and we shall continue to use the same idiots who hop from clan to clan and never settle down because they don't get promoted or the clan loses a prep or they are asked to sit lmfao

I am assuming you are talking about CP. Now, lets say someone wants to join your clan but are unsure if they will enjoy your trip, why would you go through the trouble yourself, or make them go through the trouble, of applying to something they aren't sure if they want to dedicate themselves to. Now for the most part, speaking for CP, we make sure they can access our TeamSpeak or atleast Register/Intro on our site to see what the community would be like.

Chain, I am not against the idea of ingame recruiting, but that's not what you guys do. As seen in the above picture, you simply mass up 10-15 people to go to bh worlds on Saturday. The people you invite to your trips rarely ever attend another event, never go in your IRC, never intro on your site.

 

We recruit ingame and the only way you can come to our trips is if you apply on our site. We have a category called "Full member applications", I'm sure you are familiar with the words :Slim:

People who are recruited ingame generally aren't experienced clanners (as most of them have never clanned before) and whilst in their first clan at least won't really know what to do for a bit of time. That's why people see it as mass recruiting.

 

Advertising your website to a group of people you haven't spoke to and have no intention of speaking to until they apply for your clan is mass recruiting though yes. Don't take this as a flame, who am I to judge other clans' tactics

Hmm well for Tlp that is... Who doesn't meet cp requirements lol and yeah people that put no effort into their applications and get accepted regardless.

Cool, so we agree that in game recruiting is a good way to bring up new pures into the community. You guys make them apply while CP allow's them to come aslong as they post an introduction or have TeamSpeak and register on our site. I personally don't see the worth of making someone apply if they aren't going to actually enjoy your clan. That is why I'd rathar have them come to an event and check out how we do things first. Then, if they enjoy the trip, they post an application on our forums. I also feel this is a safer way of recruiting because they will personally know someone in the clan. That will help them learn what to do faster because they actually will have someone they can ask for help.
