Range Tank vs Pure Range Stakers

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on here, but anyways, is there a clear cut proof that one is better than the other, if so which one?

 

The guy I got going for atm is

 

40 Attack

70 Str

79 Range

44 Magic

71 Hp

1 Def

1 Pray

 

56 Combat

 

Should I keep getting Str and Range up, and just stake with knives (no armor, no pray, no food, no speshulz)?

 

P.S. what's "0vls"

Is overload potions. looks like a pretty decent range box staker. problem is there' s a ton of them out there. lol.
