Chessy hacked--for 200b

VERY recently, Chessy018 had been hacked for 200B. How will this affect the RuneScape economy? What actions do you think Jagex will take upon this? Will they refund all the items/possibly execute a roll back for her account or will the hackers get away with their guilt and all the money under their belts? Please discuss! The hacker itself was a single user named "Sly". However about a month ago there was a team of 4 "recoverers" (dudes who go around looking for old accounts to recover) and they had a lot of information gathered on Chessy018. They came extremely close to recovering Chessy018 -- only being denied for Previous Passwords. This team had a vital piece of information which was Admin CP access to a forum Chessy018 belonged to.. and from there on... all you need is IPs and you can figure the rest. They probably decrypted her password(s) too. They also had her added on Facebook & Myspace (aka social engineering). I haven't heard from this team since a month+ ago.

 

I'm pretty certain that this team transferred (or somehow shared) the information with Sly, which was teh actual person to hack Chessy018.

 

edit: It is also extremely likely that Sly used a VPN and proxied his IP to one similar to Chessy's IP. Very easy to do, and also very probable considering he already had tons of information on the account.

She had a bank pin and the hacker waited 72 hours/3 days to have it removed. The recovery system is tricky to those inexperienced with it, but very easy to those who know how to work it. Here is a basic "background" overview of it:

 

All appeals are checked manually. You have to understand that a JMod is a person, and every JMod differs from one to another. There are different shifts throughout the day. At certain times of the day (typically at night, British time), you will notice that appeals won't be answered for many hours longer than usual. One JMod may consider it insufficient information, while another may consider it sufficient. This being said, Jagex has a window (I have asked a JMod myself, which he admitted to) where they can verify everything very quickly. I don't feel like going into the intricate of it so I will just leave it at that.

It won't touch the economy. No matter what it's going to remain in Runescape as long as the hackers don't alch it. If anything they'll track where the money goes and ban all the traders/stakers it comes across. They won't refund/rollback her account, it's her own fault it even happened. Honestly seeing as it wasn't your bank, and you won't see that money apart from screenshots, just get over it and keep scaping.

 

Supposedly, rumour has it the hacker got locked on all accounts that were traded money from Chessy's account.

 

Meaning 1000 santas and other rares are no longer in the game. (Technically)

Well if those rares just stayed in her account the whole time (technically) they were never in the game then.

Hmmm, if 1k Santas are taken out that might mean that they will rise soon, unless they're not taken out
