I mean it's great seeing other clans showing what they did for a pk trip.

 

In the current moment, it's great to see MM and EoP's aftermath topics, showing their side of the "story", the story of trying to become #1 pure clan.

 

I'm pretty sure, 80% of the clan leaders are smart enough to not flame/troll (Of course besides my leader P0ke_N_Die2 with his "trolling), and if there is false information, the clan leaders can "dispute" it without it getting out of hand.

 

Maybe you can make it for only Clan Leaders can reply/post topics in "Clan Warfare"?

Honestly clans need to realize this is only a online game, that many play to have fun and sometimes get away from real life drama. When people drag the drama into the game it makes it less apealling therefore ruining the enjoyment of it. Simply go out on your weekends trip looking for other clans and just fight for fun and loot. If you have a good fight or even a bad fight just make a topic about saying how much you enjoyed the fight and your trip not flamebait other clans into a flamefest that ends with no one winning just makes your clan look bad in the end.

Personally I think you should stop moderating it as intensely as you do. Were all big boys and we can all handle a little flame. Just do normal moderation, remove porn, personal attacks, racial remarks etc. If two clans post the same trip, just merge them. It's getting annoying having mods lock any topic where there is a minor bit of conflict.

What is our "current situation"? TBH you all sit here screaming flame when some one says something you don't agree with. the majority of the posts that are removed are just arguments, not flame. People on this forum (mods included) need to learn the difference. I've seen a fair few topics be taken down from arguing over who won the fight to "gj XX" then a mod at the end say something like "I removed all the flame". There wasn't any flame to begin with /facedesk. Just conflicting opinions and people trying to argue them. N so what if MM and EOP argue for 20 pages? The only people who read that stuff are the people arguing.

 

The major irony though is that if it wasn't for websites like this one there would be no arguments. Community websites create a platform to let clans broadcast who they are better than. Which raises the stakes of a fight dramatically, making crashing, teaming and mains more likely. From leading CPR I know how tempting it is to ask a clan to crash a fight you think you are going to loose purely to save yourself the shame of reading about you loosing on community websites. It wouldn't surprise me if some leaders gave into that temptation. The higher stakes also causes people to look for excuses for loosing. The bottom line is, if you create a platform that allowed people to broadcast who #1 is, people are going to argue over who that is so just let them argue. And if you really want us to all join hands and be united around the world with a rainbow above our heads, you have to close the site. Where there is competition there will be rivals, excuses and cheats.

Leader ranks post the topic they make and if there is clear flame on it then you can deal with it however you please.

 

Since the last guy to post his or her thread will have the final bump, we can come up with a new way of showcasing clan topics.

 

The only real flaw i can see with this system is that site activity might die down a bit (not sure if you give a ****).

 

other ideas- since site users wont be able to troll/hate/flame/rage on topics anymore, you could adopt a like/hate or thumbs up/down feature to the topics clans make.

Read it all and the thing that bites me the most is the lieng in clan topics, Hell I dont care if a mod is being 'bias', Because guess what, every single one of us are bias. When our clan loses, We lie and say we won, When your clan wins the other clans says they win. People get so worked up over a game, And the flames/trolling is so immature, Kids flame(Not saying no names) because, others play how the want to play, train there account the way the want to(30 defence), and fight how they want to. I don't see why people have to be isolated and flame because they play the game they want to play.

Idiots. Your clans are full of them. How do I know this? Just by viewing the ammount of retards that post for your clans. To someone like me, the appeal of most of the clans on these boards sucks, and you all look like you're ran by children for children. Learn how to ******* be real men and woman and argue like you have a brain, and stop testing the mods on this board. None of you know how to argue. And if you think trolling is worth it, you look more embaressing to your own clan than you ever could. Just started doing this because what you just mentioned wasn't working.

Just dont remove posts unless it's a personal attack. So what if some kid says "OMG XCLAN SUCKED TO DAY WE DOWNED THEM OVER AND OVER" do you think people will get offended? As long as the flame war is contained within one thread it doesn't really matter (by going onto other threads I mean pointless topics cropping up that stemmed from the argument). Moderation on this forum has always been too strict, I have never seen it be relaxed.

Alot of people say there's only flame, and say there isn't any moderation at all at this very moment. These are the ones that like to call this the troll heaven or "Pure Trollfare". Now I don't know about you but, I don't want that reputation for PW.

 

Therefore I'm expected to mod or I'm bias, or expected to not mod because I'm bias. Let's get down to the basics and follow simple rules.

Has been thought up in the past, will probably happen once we finish our current project, that is the main site. So in doing so, we become more well known and get a huge traffic of unknown random players to join the site. Everytime we mod will take time away from the site though.

you have very strong points, and i do see why you would post this, but others dont feel the same way. what i have learned in my past experience is that, no matter what goes on, everybody is going to feel differently, you cant expect people to feel the same way you do, itll just never happen. some people will feel that this isnt the community they were first born into, it has changed, it hasnt become fun anymore and it is very disrespectful. those people are usually the old school, more mature members of this community and are used to the calm, relaxed state of what used to be the pure community. but there are the new school people who were brought into the pure community in the beginning of 2010 or the end of 2009. these people are used to the disrespect and are used to the intense rivalrys and the drama of the pure community. these people have been influenced and have been brought up in this manner. the pure community is just like any other community, it is easily influenced and it is easy to corrupt. all this disrespect and flame has been started by the old school members, most likely the leaders and the elders in these pure clans. when the leaders started to post flame topics and saying this and that is not true, it may have not seemed too harsh or too dramatic, but it has progressed over time and people have taken influence from that. the only thing that you can do to really stop this from continuing is to be more of a good influence to our younger and more newer members. when new people come in this community they dont know what to expect, they just go along with what everybody else is doing. these people are our new generation, many of the older members will eventually leave behind their legacys and their influence over the pure community to the newer members. its up to the older members to be good examples and to lead the younger ones in the right path. but untill that happens this is whats going to go down, it is going to continue because once again, everybody is different. i do agree with omni where he said that we should all enjoy our purity or whatever. i understand that there was once a time where all pure clans enjoyed eachothers common interest. i think we should all focus out flame towards the real noobs, THE DEEF KIDS, this would be interesting. they talk mad **** about us on rsc too. :o

It's true that nobody wants to read "LOLOL I HAVE PRIDE IN MA KLAN....etc" and removing that post it's self does not do any harm to the forum, but it starts a slippery slope and soon your acting like Antoni and removing every post with conflicting ideas. However, leaving the post doesn't do any harm ether, it simply shows up the individual who said it. It's better to leave the post than to remove it.

People use these forums because if they didn't they couldn't defend there clan and post "what really happened" on the pk trip. We as a community moved from RSC to PC because of poor moderation, then moved to PW from PC because of poor moderation, if another site crops up chances are we would go there because of poor moderation.

 

 

On a side note: I agree with aarpk, the post by omni shows whats wrong with the moderation on this forum, most of the mods are egotistical, self centred and very very arrogant, constantly considering themselves more intelligent than the users of this forum. (Mark and Furious excluded)
