As of now those are the standings. In the East Carolina could make it and in the West the Flames and the Stars can make it.

 

I think from the East the Lightning make it and from the West the Nucks. The West is pretty hard since the Wings are a veteran team with lots of experience while the Nucks have usually chocked. The Nucks have the best all around team imo. The Ducks have a good forward group with Perry/Getzlaf/Ryan ripping it up and Selanne still scoring at the age of 40! The Kings have a strong defence but really need Kopitar and Williams back to really do some damage.

 

In the East Philly is the most stacked team on offence, while imo the Pens have the best defence, and the Bruins have the best goaltending tandem no doubt with Thomas and Rask.

Honestly, after the Chara and Pacioretty incident, the Habs will be fuming when they play the Habs and I think they will beat the Bruins. The Bruins are chokers, just like yesterday when they led 3-0 against the Rangers and ended up losing 5-3. And last year when they led the Flyers 3-0 in the series and lost 4-3. And in game 7 they were leading 3-0 too and lost 4-3 lol!

If I was a black hawks fan (thank god I'm not) i would be furious about how close they came to not making the playoffs. With such talent, I would have been hella surprised if they didn't make it into the playoffs.

Im not mad we brought home the stanley cup last year im satisfied for the new decade or two.

Half the team was traded due to budget cuts, it's not the same team from last year.

I haven't watched Hockey like I use to for years now. Will always be my favorite sport. This will always be my favorite team; win or lose.

Blackhawks were stacked last year. Too bad a lot of their players were coming off ELC contracts and were going to get raises so they had to trade them to save cap space but atleast they kept their core players in Toews, Kane, Sharp, Keith, Seabrook, Hossa.

 

Anyways the best series' in the 1st round imo are:

Habs vs Bruins - Omg this is going to be insane. Two solid goalies in Price and Thomas playing eachother. These 2 teams hate eachother (Chara/Pacioretty incident, and also the brawls). Habs won the season series 4-2 but Bruins had a smackdown against the Habs and beat them 7-0.

 

Canucks vs Blackhawks - The Blackhawks are to the Canucks in the playoffs like what Kryptonite is to Superman lol! Seriously though, Buff was a big part of the Blackhawks win over the Nucks last year and without him, Luongo will be much more comfortable. Plus Dave Bolland is injured and was a huge factor in the playoffs last year too.

Yup. I feel bad for David Tippet, Ilya Bryzgolav, and Shane Doan. Dave tippet is my 2nd favorite Hockey coach. Ilya Bryzgolav is my 3rd favorite goalie. Shane Doan is really good.

 

 

Also, what a coincidence that the Wings finished them off when they were still the Jets the year before they went down to Phoenix, and the Wings finish them off again as they might move back up to Winnipeg.
