Depends on how you intend to use it. If you're going to be using it solely to ko, then maul. If not, rapier.

Both are great. I have Rapier on my main, and have used it for almost everything you can think of. Its good.

 

Maul on the other hand (I have on my pure) Is my personal Favorite. Its alot of fun, and is great for pking/Mini's/etc. It hits slightly lower then an AGS Spec, and is really accurate.

 

I'll be getting cls on my pure soon, I'll let you know how it is :P

They are all amazing wepons. Imo maul is the best for pure or main. Pure you can go maul to gmaul. Main you can do maul+venge.

Rapier is best for a pure its like a 1 handed sarasword on steroids with no spec.

Have had all chaotics. For a pure get rapier, no matter how you use it (pking, wars, trips, slayer) its superior to maul/cls. Maul I found least useful 1v1ing because everyone safes from it... in clan wars its way to much fun though!

 

The cb levels are your choice. Either you want low combat or med/high + the bonus of rapier. Can't give you advice on that because its a matter of opinion.

Overall I'd go with rapier since I had it myself on my turmoil zerk and loved it. IF I'm ever to get a chaotic weapon again I'd go with rapier again.

Been contemplating this myself, I've decided on rapier. Seems most beneficial in the long run, with mini wars, PKing, PvM etc. Good luck on your decision.

Rapier works amazing on any type of account. IF you plan on using rapier for staking and pking I'd go with the pure, if you just want to rape kids in the wilderness even if +10cmb higher go with turmoil zerk.
