You usually call in game anyway. Not hard to call pushes in cc. Shouldn't be that bit of a problem, at least in f2p.

It's way harder to organize a clan without it.

With today's game state, and the amount of downtime there are in pure trips. I can't imagine following someone for (most of the time) ~2 hours without being able to talk/interact with others.

 

In fights, it's a different story and in my opinion is really situational (numbers, location, situation, etc). I would tend to say, from personal experience, that most of the time, you want to have audio support.

Audio is very important nowadays, its in all official clans genes, for more organized and controlled warring, and it controls the speed of the clearing match, without it you become less organized but focus on other things such as spamming piles and hitting piles, pure warring has improved over the past few years due to the usage of audio, and it also helps the community.

 

It can be used less to, target practice your clans spamming and such but on a Saturdays its now very important unless you have a decent man advantage, but never good for setting an example for rep and experience of your members.
