Try to create a flow and know where your light is and isn't. Your 2nd version is much better. You need to make sure though that you pay equal attention to your BG and FG;if you don't your BG will simply be blurred figures and nothing interesting and the only good part of your tag will be your focal. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it would mean your overall tag lacks quality.
