Recent "hack".

As most of you know, there was a breach in to one of the Administrators accounts here. Unfortunately the culprit was able to delete a lot of accounts as well as thousands of posts, however, I keep daily backups of PW on a different server, so I have been able to restore a backup from before the "hack".

 

As of now I am unaware of how they breached the account, it was definitely not a Brute force attack as I've seen no evidence of this. Either they were keylogged or the password was given out.

 

On that note, I urge you all to change your passwords immediately, both here and on any other websites you use if they have the same password. I have reset every staff members password so this doesn't happen again.

 

Apologies for any harm caused to anyone, if you don't have a Dynamic IP address I strongly suggest you call your ISP and ask for a new one. With password changes and a new IP you should be fine.

 

 

EDIT: I have traced the culprits IP address to a server from www.midphase.com and I have contacted their abuse department.
