how scape took over my life

I can still remember what it was like being normal, that is, of course, before I started playing scape competitively. At first, scape represented fun at the expense of 20 minutes, perhaps, per day. Then, as I met and learned about better players, it motivated me to improve my overall game. I recall getting this urge to constantly get better to keep up with the rest of the scape community. I started out doing small things: training, pking noobs, practicing moves, working on skills, etc.; usually this would go on for hours. I would ignore homework and other tasks I was responsible for. Playing scape became a career, if I may say so, to me. I felt like I was always being judged and therefore had to put on a solid performance--every single time. Frustration played a huge role in my obsession to continue playing to improve. It all didn't seem so terribly wrong at first, but eventually it led to me sometimes skipping school to just work on my skills and practice in random worlds.. I completely lost interest in females and trying to pick up chicks, since that would only be a distraction from scape... I wanted to be completely isolated so I can make scape my top and only priority. The only thing that mattered to me was scape, and that not only affected my attitude but destroyed the person I once was.

Balancing runescape and life is a big thing, Just remember life is more important than this silly game, tho it may be fun, dont let it consume ur life.

 

Sometimes its hard, boom rs sucks u in again with a new skill, damnit i gotta train that skill! or a wow a new quest with a new weapon gotta get it! Etc etc, just remember the game shouldnt be the only thing on ur mind.

Know whatya mean, had it myself too but now i found out how i can balance RL and scape, just scape when you have TIME TO DO SOMETHING ELSE OR IF YOU'RE BORED, don't scape if your friends call you to go out or something.. or if u have a date. ;) Girls+Mates >>>>>>>>>>>>>>scape

Sometimes, when one does not get achievements in real life, they can substitute them by easy, fast and 'fake' achievements in an online game.

But trust me, you'll quit the game soon. As you get older, you'll find better things to do. If that doesn't work, try and play a sport, and if that's not really an option, get a job.

Very meaningful thats why you have to balance both lives its harder to live 2 than one so theres always a time for scape dont make scape your #1 priority
