I just did it. The experience isn't bad, but it depends on your stat level that you want to use the reward on. For example, I used it on 60 thieving and got 22k exp (only made it to wave 16 b/c I messed up).

 

I would highly suggest using barrage if you have it.

 

@OIdWildy: Probably impossible for you to make it past like Wave 10.

You can skill or kill, you don't even have to attack the trolls if you don't want to.

 

 

 

Shame there's no cosmetic rewards, these lame D&D are starting to pile up.
