Question about 40 Defence

Who cares anyway, the pure community got ruined a long long long time ago.

 

Pures were ment to abuse a flaw of the combat system. Having a advantage offensive wise over someone of the same level as you. Over the years jagex has been correcting this flaw in several ways by giving people with defence the upperhand by items for example(think of weapons, prayer etc). Now you also have these pro-claimed pures with 20-30 defence who are basicly adapting to get some of the same bonus as people with defence but it ruins the whole purpose of beeing pure. Same with idiots who get 20-30 defence for wars/clans w.e. Pures were never ment for that, they were ment to kill people with their offensive advantage not beeing able to "tank". You could sum more examples up but the pure community has been practicly living in lie for some time.

 

Glad to have seen the glory times. But from 2006 and forward it has been 1 heck of a **** time.(But hey we can always laugh at these 10+ defence guys, who can take them seriously?)

pures are still good. max offense for its combat level while risking 40k.

so if you die 5 times, u lose ~200k, but when you finally kill that zerker you get ~250k+

 

However this doesn't work in clan wars where its based on deaths and not loot

Obby Clans - Pure Clans - Rune Pure/Zerker/Tank Clans - Main Clans

 

If you accept 40def in your clans you will be starting a new community seeing how each of the 4 type of clans started above have all different requirements which makes us all different.

The "majority of pure clans" isn't enough to set a whole new trend, Pure Clanning is only a part of the actual Pure Community in Runescape. If the majority of clans are doing it, that doesn't make it acceptable, so my answer is no. It also defeats the whole purpose of a Pure.

Only difference between 30 and 40 is that if 40 was accepted, people would actually be smart to get it as 40 defense is best for pking, but since 30 defense doesn't even compete with 40 only a few idiots and people who just clan war are going 2 get it. I'd every 30 defense person would get 40 if their clan would allow it.

 

Uhhh.. I got turmoil for pking, and my kdr is about 3 kills/1 death, almost always fighting a zerker.

 

30 def pking is more of a challenge, your down because you can't veng. But its also fun to pk with that sort of handicap.

 

Anyway, 40 def.. Thank god I'm only around here for a few more months lol.
