People always ask me, "How do you go through the abyss with 10 defence teach me please!". I'll respond, "Its easy, all you gotta do is be fast and a good tank."

 

Pure Guide of tanking through the abyss to nature

 

 

 

Runecrafting natures getting from the abyss is hard for first timers. However, you'll get used it to it when you done a few trips. I know this becuase I did this way by myself, and I learned it the hard way :) .

*Note

When you teleport to the abyss, you'll loose your prayer to 0.

 

1 - The Requirements

- 44 Runecrafting (Using the nature talisman or nature tiara)

- The quest Rune Mysteries

- The miniquest from Mage of Zamorak.

[The Rune Mysteries and the miniquest from the Mage of Zamorak together is 5 minutes max]

 

The Gear

This is basically what I use

Must need:

Amulet of Glory (1/2/3/4)

Nature Tiara/Talisman

 

Recommended:

Combat Bracelet (1/2/3/4) [if you forgot to switch the uncharged glory for a charged glory]

Ring of Life[incase you have trouble]

Spotted cape

Boots of lightiness

Pouches (Small/Medium/Large/Giant)

Omni Talisman (Easy way to get into through the abyss by distracting the eyes)

 

Not needed:

Everything else, I use my black armour for defence boost.

 

Tanking & getting through the abyss

There is a couple ways to get in through the abyss. The skills of using Thieving to distract the eyes, Mining rocks to get the rocks out of the way, Firemaking to burn down a bump of an abyss passage, and Woodcutting cutting through the vines in your way.

Mine the rocks to get through (Pickaxe)

Distract the eyes with your thieving skills(None, But if you use an omni talisman you can distract the eyes in one go)

Going through a passage using your agility skills (None)

Going through a gap using your agility skills(None)

Boil a bump to reduce the size using your firemaking skills(Tinderbox)

Cutting tendrils using your woodcutting skills(Hachet)

For tanking, you have to get out of the abyss fast before they keep on lowering your hitpoints. Its like a war, the abyss piles only one. The abyss hits fast but isn't accurate hitting but it can hit hard up to 14 or more that I know of.

 

 

 

Runecrafting nature runes

 

 

Once you got through the abyss head north east of the center to go in the nature altar. After that your in the nature altar and happy crafting. Afterwards use your glory to teleport back to edgeville and repete this method.

 

The Outcome

Well since I use Small/Med/Large pouches, I can carry 43 pure essence in a go. I don't use the giant one because I need 75 runecrafting.

 

I carry 43 pure essence which means 43 nature runes but I go to W36 and double natures witch makes me hae 86 nature runes instead of 43.

 

 

Tips

- While in the abyss, is go find the way your going in. I use woodcutting and the agility passages and gaps. They would hit you still when your trying to get in. But they don't hit while you're doing the method of getting through the abyss. They won'

t hit you if you keep on clicking the Tendrils/passage/gap/rocks/boil. This is great way to not loose your hp.

- Use food that is cheap like trout because when you teleport back to edgeville you would want to gain your hp back. Also before going threw the abyss I use a saradomin brew to get my hp higher.

- Use pouches, Small/Med/Large/Giant. It goes by this 3/6/9/12. The way how I got the pouches is easy, I got the small one for free from the miniquest from the Mage of Zamorak. The medium one from Wizard Korvark for free also. I got the large & giant one from Wizard Korvark also, but you have to pay 25k for the large and 50k for the giant. Another way to get pouches is from the abyss. You can kill them until the pouches drop. The maximum pouches you can get is one of each

- If you use your pouches and get degraded, they turn to a different color. You can get it repair for free from the Dark Mage in the center of the abyss. Or you can repair only Large & Giant for money. Large for 12k and Giant for 15k.

QA:

- How much time is a trip.

~ I can do a trip in a little over a minute. It can be more if I fail getting through the abyss.

 

- How much money is it per hour?

~Well I don't craft my own runes, I go to W36 and get assisted by people who is 91+ Runecraft so I can get double natures. The first day I did this I made between 3-4m in 5-6 hours. You might can do more than me because I usually afk after I do a trip ^.^

 

- If I die would how can I get my pouches back?

~ Killing abyssals or pouches from Mage of Zamorak and Wizard Korvark in the Runecrafting Guild

 

- Is it easy?

~ The first time, It wasn't. Thats why I wear a ring of life and a saradomin brew the first few trips :)

If you really want the defence boost for pures, you can use this:

 

It's more lightweight so you can do easier trips. You can replace studs with hardleather.

I'm sure people don't want to risk a regen bracelet and a firecape. Although I see some pures doing that but they're better than me getting through the abyss.

Swap regen for addy gaunts (more defense) and fire cape for obby cape (-2 defence)

It should balance out if I'm correct.

old :P i got 80rc trough abyss with 6def (or was it 7 :'( ) couple years ago.

 

use bearkmask since you dont need the tiara in abyss.
