Chris Mortensen/ESPN.com - The Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning have agreed to a five-year, $90 million contract, according to sources.

 

An Indianapolis source said Manning had told owner Jim Irsay that a five-year, $100 million proposal was not necessary to give him a $20 million average that no NFL player has ever attained

They have a decent defensive line but the rest of the defence needs an upgrade.

Colts' defense didn't do really well because Gary Brackett was injured and was replaced by Pat Angerer who didn't do a great job. Anyways Gary Brackett is all jump started and ready for the 2011 season!

Packers had an insane number of players on both sides of the field on IR. They lost their best corner half way through the superbowl. You can't blame a season on injuries. They happen every year.

This was basically a contract saying "Hey, thanks for being awesome and a leader, heres some money".

 

They don't expect him to live up to the contract but at the same time they obviously do.
