I am going to rant and you are going to listen s0nnie.

 

30 defence in pure clans presents many obvious and immediate changes in the way we operate as a pure community. Since the obvious factors that play into the pure community have been pointed out and shot down hundreds of times, simply because so many people are already 30 defence, i will point out those subtle changes that are taking place as of late.

 

You are to listen, this is not debateable, consider this food for thought.

 

You spawn in Edgeville. A rune pure is 40-50 defence depending on who you ask. A pure is 1-39 defence depending on which clan you ask. Rather than having one or two addy daddies in a clan like it used to be, the vast majority of many clans are now 30-39 defence. Main units accompany clans to snipe opposing clans leaders.

 

Main wars can and have lasted up to 48 hours. A battle is now determined by which clan can return longer and deny the fact that they were cleared fairly. Returning is 100 times easier with the use of wakas, teleports, and running from edgeville. Some clans have 5-10 players that are around 110 cbt in f2p, and cannot be attacked at all by the opposing clan, therefore they can sit there, while their clan who died can return and keep the fight going.

 

If we keep this up, our fights are going to last longer and longer. Someone needs to break the chain.

 

Give me your opinion, don't flame, and don't use clans names. I sure don't want our fights lasting 3 hours on a saturday, how do you feel?

 

 

TLDR for those of you with the attention span of a 16 year old playing runescape; Fights are longer and longer because of 30 defence, and returning, and some of us don't want to spend our entire saturday playing rs.

I disagree with you, with all this crashing and clans hiding in single it makes it hard to get a fair 1v1 fight. When you finally get a fight you don't want it to last 30 sec, then go back to 30 minutes of searching for another one. Longer fights are usually more fun for everyone involved.

yeah, avoid using clans names though. I just feel like that's part of the weekend grind, thats always been around. Crashing creates controversy, it creates a storyline/rivalries. The way it should, and is set up to be settled is Clan A crashes and makes clan B hate them with a passion, clan B challenges clan A to a full out war to settle the score. Longer fights aren't more fun, considering that every clan has "that guy" type members that will die 3 times and say "**** it, i'm losing bank here" and logout. It essentially becomes a war of patience.

It doesn't really create a storyline as much as the need to have spies in every clan.

If you want change, you need action. As you said, there are basically too many people that are 30+ def and consider themselves pures, so action isn't possible really, without doing something the pure community has never seen before.

Agree with you. This all ties into what I mentioned in my thread I made this morning. Returning is what is causing all the problems. Addy daddies are encouraging returning.

 

Clan A clears Clan B multiple times. Clan A has no prayer/food left so eventually Clan B gets a single clear, then immediately leaves with the win. Clan B claims their "great returning" won the fight, and Clan A dominated the whole fight so they claim the win.

 

Solution: KILL TRACKERS

Other Solution: Someone with 30 def, preferrably a rank of a clan that accepts addy daddies, needs to step up and make a new pure, and encourage other 30 def people to follow suit.

I'll let you finish and all but saying fights last longer because of the kind of armour someone wears in a PURE clan is a terrible logic, I do agree with what it has become to tho, fighting for an hour and half, one clan clearing the other, the clan that got cleared returning 5 minutes later to and empty battlefield claiming a win, resulting in 10 pages of pointless arguing on these boards, but what can you do.. changes.. they happen, and the only thing anyone can do is adapt to them and go along.

Ya I have been noticing more returning during my short time in pure clanning, but I would rather have return fights that last 30mins than to be waiting 30 mins for a fight to happen :)

lets all get turmoil so fights can last for hrs l. main fights are supposed to last longer typically because they have the ability to tank longer with ss/main gear. if u want a long fight get 70 def and have a 5 hr return fest with a mainclan
