Whilst casually loging into my 'scape account, my screen, suddenly turned Green.

Not knowing any of those faces, I decided to ask what was going on.

 

-"We're on a quest for revenge." I heard one say.

"They killed Dave!" Another replied.

-"Too many forks!" Their friend told me.

 

What was going on? Had runescape gone mad?

 

R.I.P Dave 2k11-2k11

 

How could they have done this?

Knowing Dave for the many years he had stood by my side.

 

I did not have an easy childhood. I was what you would call "a practice girl"- Something the Jocks banged for a sixpack.

Mind you- I'm only talking about elementary school so far. And I'm a boy.

But I hung in there.

 

My childhood wasn't filled with happy memories. We used to live in this tiny wooden box, all 14 of us, and when we got up, to work in the mill, 2 hours before we went to bed, our father would slice into us with a breadknife. And that's if we were lucky. Abuse from my father, incesteous rape with my Sister (she had it coming) and 'Uncle Sam' who wasn't all Stars and Stripes.

But I hung in there.

 

When I hit high school, I made a friend. Sven was my first real friend. We had this special connection. I knew he was Gay, but I didn't mind. He was the only person who really understood me. I still remember- we used to hang out behind the alley in school, talking about what girl would be right for me. Ah, the laughters we shared.

This one time, Sven was sitting behind me in class. I was failing that class and I knew more abuse would soon follow if I did not get a straight A. Whilst walking up, defeated with my head hung low, Sven swapped papers, and wrote my name on his.

Sven was diagnosed with SuperCancer.

 

I don't really remember how I survived the next year, but somewhere in the Summer of 2004, I met Dave. He was our teamspeak server. He was the best listener. I used to talk to him alot about my haunting sexual experiences, and how I missed Sven. Dave was a real good listener. And we laughed.

Around this time, my Mother got out of jail. She moved back into our old house, and we were one big happy family again.

Until that fateful night.

 

My dad went out to this pub, not far from where he worked. Getting laid of the plant, he decided to drown his sorrow. Brushing his teeth with multiple bottles of Jack, he came home.

He was a kind man, my father (apart from the rapes and all) and knew we wouldn't survive without his paycheck.

That's when he pulled his axe.

 

Knowing it was a dragon Battleaxe with full special bar, I couldn't do a thing. I just stood there, frozen in horror. First he mauled my baby brother. Also my child, whom my sister bore in her womb did not survive this attack. In a final attempt to save her life, my mother decided to throw me in front of the axe.

A swift swing fell down, and there it was.

Dave, standing strong, with a blooded Gmaul, had saved my life.

 

Me and Dave were like brothers henceforth. My mother died shortly after this incident, but I didn't care. I knew I would always survive as long as Dave was there. The kid saved my life.

 

EF killed Dave.

A war swiftly followed. Not caring about levels, mains, addy or bank loot, my friends came to my aide. All ******* 69 of them.

 

Hordes of Forks we met. But we would not do this for honor. We would not do this for glory, loot or survival. We would do this for Dave, the only friend I'll ever have.

 

 

A lonely tear escaped from my eye. This was never seen before. So many friends.

I didn't have many friends growing up. I had only Sven and Dave. Their deaths in our hearts, we struck as one. One by one they fell, faltering under our blades. Arrows striking down upon their murderous hands. This day was not for fighting, we were out for blood.

I did not know what I had seen. Pures standing up against Mains. Righteous warriors striking down against the Tyranny of murderers.

I did not know, in an era like this, a bond so strong could still exist. But there they were. Malice and NME, united in their vicious but futile struggle against Addy, Time and Numbers.

But we went in. We went in that portal with one thing on our mind; Dave.

I could see it in their eyes. Fear. Little Green pures, standing up against the heavy hand of Purple. Men standing up against the Outrage that was Forkland.

Many lives were lost, but together we stood strong. Our thirst was not yet quenched.

Grats Outrage and Ef. I expected the outcame seeing how serious you guys took this fight + how hard you prepped (and ofcourse having better avg's and lvl's). Not taking away your victory at all though. Well done :)! Hopefully we'll have some good and fun fights tomorrow.

Wasn't at the fight as I had real life duties however from what i hear of NME's pull i'm pleased considering how much prep we put into it as this was a fun event. As said I was not at the fight so I hope it was fun for all round as that was the point and that when your topic is up there isn't stupid pointless flaming over a fun non-serious event.

IDC about the result, I found the event really fun and it was flame free for the most part which was a pleasant suprise. Only clan that really flamed was TH and they've got to survive tomorrow yet.
