Not gonna lie, but why is everyone crying over people voting for what they think best?

This is a runescape related forum, this just happens to be a graphic section to a runescape related forum.

Obviously you're not going to get the most experienced graphic designers coming here to vote on SOTM.

You're going to get people voting for what they think looks best, ones for there reasons think is best.

Stop ******* moaning about how people won't understand your work, target the audience instead of trying to justify with saying one piece has all these complicated methods to make it come out in such a such way.

Rather than making complicated methods, try better methods (working smarter here, not harder.) and in theory, should give you a better product.

I was stating something about this Graphic Forum. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about art. You never try to target the audience. You design cause you love it, or you want to put in ideas into art work.

Everything in this post is very true but I think XQ is talking about the ways you go about bringing the idea alive, not the idea specifically - but I do agree that you shouldn't pick your idea or inspiration based off who's gonna see it but rather it should be based on the artist, not the people seeing it.

Well IMO, when your entering a competition with certain limitations, you should.

Imagination is limitless, not confined to certain size standards, if you had an idea, you'd have to scale it down to suit the rules set by the person in charge.

But yeah, no point in complaining about a graphic forum, if you don't like it just switch.

 

Getting mad over an offbeat competition on a runescape forum, seriously?

i dont know why some of the other artists are getting butthurt because they put in more effort or are trying to put down the community because they aren't all experienced. It's all about what looks the best and most appealing, and what people see.

 

artists dont get famous off 5 art critics, they get famous after they die, ffs. (they dont relate at all ^_^)
