I see a decline in runescape clanning

I completely agree, pulls have been down for every clan except IR I would say because they are the only clan that has been progressing instead of degressing imo.

Well, Runescape is pretty much dying itself and along with it - the communities. There are too many factors playing against pures for the community to start growing again.

 

One of which, that probably is caused by a lot of the people who moan about lack of pures, is the trainning and the money.

Nowadays all of you bot up some monster maxed pures, transfer money from your mains and then sit in the wildy all maxed out with insane gear and wonder why no1 wants to fight you and start crying about it.

The other pures get sick of dying to some sw prods and start rushing simply cuz they can't afford anything else.

 

Then all of these bigass pures go clanning, sit on forums and bch about it not being like the old days.

 

I'm not speaking about any1 specifically, but that's the general gist of what I believe.

bring back BH, people arnt in clans as much as they used to due to making more gp being NH and rushing unlike BH where you could be in a clan and make bank even if you die afew times.

When people think of pures in the pure community AKA "Pure Warfare" it means 1-35 defence with 30+ defence being turmoil.

 

When everyone else thinks of pures AKA the rest of runescape they are thinking of somewhere between the range of 1-20 defence with 1 defence being mostly accepted.

 

New recruits imo don't want to adapt the the new type of "pure clanning" with turmoil and all this junk

It is declining in a way, back in bh craters you would see a bunch of baby teams filled with friends pking which could be molded into official clans eventually, now, no-one even pks in multi and most clans who try to open now have absolutely no core and the leaders don't know what they are doing, and they close.

 

Jagex makes updates for mains now, and not pures, causing alot of people to just want to go mains or play on their mains, or get defense. There aren't really any new pures coming into the community, maybe baby pures of people who are already here, but no-one is actually entering the pure community, and we're losing more and more people to defense and the old guys quitting. Pure community will be really ****** within the next year I believe.

Botting took over and pking is annoying cause 9/10 your going to get rushed..so insted of people pking now their botting sitting on IRC or doing something else.

 

I honestly don't see why Botting is such a big deal. Most people including myself only play for their clan. Botting helps people get their account better faster. So why does it matter? If anything Botting helps the pure clan community.

 

I don't really see a decline in all clans only a few. School just started so that's probably one of the reasons why pulls for some clans have decreased.

 

not a big deal as i myself bot.. but botting wasnt as big as it is now.. b4 getting a 99 was like damn nice now on your average pure acc 9/10 the person botted that skill to whatever it is. Only a handfull of people still do skills legit ( i myself am legit cept dung ). So pures botting insted of pking have taken over.

Perhaps it's the fault of our community-leaders for not renewing the communities memberbase. How many NEW people come to this forum (and last) not many. Our perception of 'decline in clanning' may have manifested itself from relative pulls/activity by comparison to 'happier times'. Notice too that nostalgia tends to emphasise good periods, we've had periodical series of declines in activity. It's part of the cycle.

I COMPLETELY AGREE. Sorry, but you hit the nail on the head. I have talked about this multiple times and I actually just made a post about it in another forum. NME is the starter for a new revolution of pure clanning that will make it 100 times better to recruit and show everyone what the pure community is really about.
