Fight Caves Range/ Mage Gear and Setup

Hi I'm looking to go after my first firecape and I've been watching many guides ofc but all of them are range only and It really looks like those are for the pros that have done it before. I really dont want to blow 15m for someone to do it for me I want to do it myself. I've talked to a few friends that have said they

Blood barraged/ Ice bursted the fight caves with the K Xbow switch. This seemed to be very effective in my head as I am 99 mage and have access to SOL and my range level is alright..(83). I dont want to blow 3.5m on 300 purple sweets to heal( as seen in most guides) only to **** up in the end as I have 3 times now... So can anyone suggest a good inventory and gear set up to "brid" the fight caves. I know that I will be ranging jad and most other harder monsters in the fight caves but I'd like blood/ ice bursts to heal and actually get to jad. I've only gotten to wave 52 and died with the regular methods from running out of food. So yeah I really need a good inventory set up to do this(runes, amount of brews, Sup restores, etc)
