Really, Clans wont stop accepting it.

We're already at the point at which Clans encourage their Members to get 30/35 Defence for advantage of addy in F2P.

 

This would solely speed up the process of the unavoidable.

 

(I'm a 1 defence Pure myself & I hate the fact that addy is accepted in the Pure Community, and that the amoiunt of addy keeps on growing...)

 

Edit: Or we make it a rule that weekend trips are 1 defence cap only, would make it more enjoyable to be honest and no one would have to complain, turmoil ain't that big.

If all big Clans & Pure Warfare would follow this rule it would definately work

Defence is accepted now, people would be stupid not to get it as all it brings is advantages, hardly and disadvantages. It's simply superior. Why bother keeping 1 defence, 30 defence offers A LOT more benefits.

 

The day will come a real Clan Pure will always have 30 Defence, it's unavoidable, it's slowly moving towards that direction.

 

If everyone would be 30 defence there would be no more need to ******* complain, Main Clans don't complain about their 99 defence because everyone (may) have it.

 

Oh yeah the vision of seeing 100% of a Clan in addy/no more ghostly is disgusting, but that's what the community is turning into ;).

Real solution is to let people do what they want, then it wouldn't be a problem.

Trying to turn the last real pures left into addy mains won't work. Certain clans (MM, NME, Ef, XL and all the lpc's) will refuse to do so.

 

An easier solution that would make things less worse and stop a lot of complaining: robes only in F2P. But this won't happen since certain clans need their addy on during F2P trips and they won't stop using it.

Yeah, lpc's are obviously a different kind of tier, allowing addy in those would destroy the purpose of lpc's.

 

MM & NME though might adapt or die out as the amonut of addy comes closer to the 90% in their "competition".

Edit: The only scenario in which I could actually see it working is if Pure Warfare makes it a rule (Since PW has a LOT of influence to the Pure community, maybe even all the other pure communities make this rule) that Clans may only wear robes during F2P PK trips, error in following this rule would result in a ban from pure warfare (Like MM got banned). Something like this wouldn't effect a strong Clan like MM heavy, but it would effect almost all Clans heavily.

Atleast MM have a challenge now. Imagine if MM allowed 30 defence. They would be #1 in both servers. NME will never change their def requirement (1-10). If NME closes, so be it. I personally see it as a huge challenge aswell for NME, fighting clans that are clearly in a total different category. I mean 100s vs a bunch of 70s and 80s with about the same numbers and NME still doing great. I'm still surprised NME does so good vs those addy clans and winning fights here and there and having fun doing so. Ofcourse NME needs a few more opts to make up for all the defence and prayer lvl's the other clan has since those two things change the whole fight.

Doubt it, but they'd definitely be competing for #1 alot more effectively.

That would make sense. If the amount of clans who are advocating against 30 def are the minority (numbers of clans wise), then why stress it? It's obvious they refuse to adapt to what the majority of the "pure" clans are doing, so let them continue to put themselves in a disadvantage. If they do well against the defence, then kudos to them. I don't support 30 defence, but I am not going to try my best to change the community to the pure roots when the majority already adapt to 30 defence.
