Serious Migration/Alternative?

Sorry if this is considered a repost of any sorts but I just was wondering where clans are actually going to shift with the update in September. It takes a long time and careful preparation to sway a whole clan/community towards a new game. I know most people are going to quit all together and explore into other role playing games, focus on RL, sell their GP/accounts, but where will the remaining community go?

 

Personally, I've played BattleScape and it's not that bad, it's very comparable to 2006-2007 RS with a few tweaks and kinda bad economy. RS2006 was recently hacked so that's going to be delayed, on top of that the beta was only available for donors 5$+ USD anyway.

 

 

TL;DR; Where are clans seriously going to go. Are you going to adapt to this new combat system or shift to your comfort zone of RS/RSPS gameplay?

the beta will be completely different to what it will be. the beta i think sucks. they will make it better / listen to some player feedback.. i'm guessing clanning will still be around, for f2p will be much easier.. except for the delay from changing weps so perhaps some people will only melee? no idea

battlescape , but I also heard that they arent making defence mandatory to train that they are just encouraging us to use better armour. It makes sense but clanning should still be the same just the damage rate for robes and the damage rate for armour will be completly unfair. :/

Real life/other games whilst keeping up with community I met on RS/these forums.

 

2006 is extremely unstable, I do not suggest it - One of the leaders rage quit because they refused to put a key logger in the file. So nty.

 

Battlescape is =...=;

 

I just don't have enough time to put into yet ANOTHER MMO - And I'm sure a lot of us can say the same thing.

 

Realistically though, I think clans are going to adapt/go main- or just move on. The beta has been out for about .... a full day, there's still many things to explore and test out with the new battle system. Who knows? Maybe pures will find a niche to thrive and have fun in. We don't know yet.
