in my eyes the worst thing that ever happened to the pure community is purecommunity; I don't want to remember all the details on how bad it really was but it was BAD, sefket in charge of anything makes the hair in my neck stand up. good think pure warfare was created so it can never be controlled by bias ever again lolololo.

A lot of things really, I think mainly the newer ranks that do anything to win. Everything now is all about winning. Ts3 was also a bad change to the pure community. Ofcourse 20+ defence too.

Since everyone is going to say the obvious stuff like ddosing, def, "community" sites, kdr, clans caring too much about winning, etc. I'll say something different.

 

It might sound far-fetched but I think bots played a much bigger role in ruining the pure community than one might think. Pure clans always aimed to keep their averages as high as possible. Before bots become prevalent among the actual playerbase (as opposed to goldfarmers), making an account with high enough stats to join a major clan required a fair amount of work and patience. Patience that many of the retards named "xkush420x" who currently infest this game would most likely not have.

 

It seems that previously clanning was restricted to a slightly more mature section of the rs population but with the advent of bots, any retarded 12 year old mexican kid can bot up an account to meet clan requirements. Just add in a couple of stupid adults/college students who ruined their lives with substance abuse to lead them and give them access to booters and you have a cancer clan that helps to bring down an already dying pure community to its current pathetic state. Better yet, add in a community site and give people from said cancer clan important positions to better kill off the "pure" community.

Before quality was mostly in one's effort and commitment in their account such as having overloads like R A Gl E or w.e did before most other pures or having a steel titan like very few did, now quality is based on luck and skill (the skill part is arguably a good thing, but let's face it most of the kids who play RS just know how to PK and can't really learn to war).

 

If bots and free trade didn't become a huge thing, there wouldn't be 24/7 return wars where bank loot is made a whopping DDS that you looted from a cmauler with a steel titan and curses
