Not ignorant if it is against your views on religion and what is marriage. If you start to call people who don't think the same as you ignorant what does that make you?

 

You are free to believe what ever you wish. Even though the US is supposed to separate church and state it doesn't happen. And until the population as a complete whole want to change laws regarding this it will only slowly take over and get passed in several states.

I wouldn't call people ignorant for not believing in the same as you, Eric. People are free to believe what they want. I admire you for supporting us gays, but I think the term you should be looking for is 'dissimilar'.

 

It's all good letting Religious people point their view, but when it goes into Homophobic Abuse and Hate, I then have a problem. Personally, I don't think Churches should have a say in marriage, it's a law not a belief. You've got to remember, Priests can turn marriage applicants down.

 

At the end of the day, Love is Love.

I feel like gay people have better lives in 1st world countries. They face more challenges growing up than the average kid.

 

Im totally agreeable with gay marriage, no problems.

 

The only thing that confuses me is why there are more gay men than woman (or seem to be).

I literally just wrote a 10 page paper on same sex marriage. I'm personally in support of it, but I understand why people are against it. The only thing I have a problem with is that for a government that apparently separates church and state politicians still use the Bible as their defense for not allowing it. They're supposed to protect our civil rights not want them taken away because of a religious scripture.
